My father was sent to Chattahoochee state hospital in the late 1960s I remember yrs later when he returned home he would just sit an stare and smoke cigarettes never speaking, , I still have his paperwork where the state restored him his sanity i always thought of it as the state took his sanity because all that was left was a shell of a man
