i was amazed today when i punched in the name julia lazzari on google and this site came up ….. julia was a great friend to me in both ny and rome …she was a very close friend and client of my mother’s ( my mom was her attorney and julia made her clothes) from the 1930’s until her death … i had always know that her former husband had been a sculptor and that he was murdered and a work he had done in palm beach had disappeared simultaneously… julia would never visit us in palm beach late in her life …. i could never get either julia or my mom to tell me the entire story…. having known franco her son and paolo her grandson … it was never discussed … i am anxious to read your book … and was wondering if you can send me the wonderful picture of julia on the site ….so i can print a copy for myself … julia was so much a part of my life when i was younger …..thanking you in advance .. for answers to my questions and possibly for a copy of the julia’s picture … best michael borden…
So glad to hear from you and wish we had spoken before I wrote the book. The story is based upon true information yet is written as fiction because I had to fill in the blanks in certain cases. We’ve lost touch with Paulo, but I hear from Stefano and Leno regularly. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the book. Would love to hear from you after you’ve read it. Perhaps we can have a phone conversation.
