Shea Baker is a freelance writer who finds himself inadvertently hurled headlong into a series of biblical mysteries.
The Cloak – The first in the series, this book sets the stage for the rest of the series. In it you are introduced to the characters–Shea Baker, his wife Rosa, Palm Beach County Sheriff Ted Berry, Pastor Dan E. Powell, and Stella, Shea’s off the wall but outstanding researcher. All these characters return in the subsequent mysteries.
The Cloak takes you from South Florida to Jerusalem in a fast-paced mystery involving the re-emergency of the healing cloak of Jesus and those who want to make it available to the world. Others, however, believe this a misguided act and believe it would throw the world into logistical, theological, economical and political chaos. What ensues is a hunt for the cloak by a number of characters, each with his/her own agenda for wanting to possess it.
The Spear of Destiny – The spear that pierced the side of Jesus is said to be in South Florida, having been transported here by one of Hitler’s submarines during World War II.
A group of neo-Nazis is trying to find it because history has proved that whoever possessed the spear, which was infused with the power of God, could rule the word. The hunt is on for the spear and takes us to one of Florida’s most fascinating and remote areas of the state–Lake Okeechobee–a place steeped in dark secrets.
The Twelfth Stone – Contemporary biblical archaeologists dispute that an Exodus ever took place or that the nation of Israel crossed through the Red Sea and the Jordan River by the parting of the waters. After all, no direct archaeological proof has surfaced, nor have any corroborative ancient documents emerged.
Substantiated rumors have come to light, however, that eleven of the stones from the original memorial constructed by the Israelites on the bank of the Jordan River to commemorate their crossing have been found, and on them is an ancient inscription. But, in order for the entire message to be understood, the twelfth stone must be found. Only when the stones are placed together in order will the entire message be revealed.
Will the stone be found? Will the message be revealed? Find out in The Twelfth Stone.
